Welcome to The Brokedown Palace—a Grateful Dead-inspired Husker bar in Omaha, NE and grassroots event collective built on music, community, and the belief that the best ideas (and the best jams) can come from the most unexpected places. 🎶🌹
We’re the proud hosts of two beloved bi-annual festivals:
🌸 Run for the Roses (every May – now in its 7th year)
🌌 Cats Under the Stars (every October – celebrating its 4th year)
In between, we keep the music flowing with a steady stream of live shows, both inside and out on our patio (when the sun cooperates). Whether it's jam bands, singer-songwriters, or tribute acts, we shine a light on the incredibly rich pool of talent in our region.
Our Mission
Our Mission is simple, but powerful:
To keep local music alive, support the arts, and build community through shared experience.
That means:
- Giving local musicians their moment in the sun ☀️
- Partnering with non-profits through free booths, hosted fundraisers, and donations from ticket sales
- Hosting events that blend authentic vibes with purpose
- Keeping the spirit of the Dead alive in all we do—community-driven, inclusive, and never losing sight of the music 🎵
